COVU isn't software built from the outside looking in. We operated insurance agencies ourselves, hit the same service problem every owner hits, and built the operating stack to fix it.
Before COVU was a product, we'd been running and scaling P&C agencies ourselves. We sat in the owner's seat, carried the payroll, and watched service quietly become the largest cost line and the least visible part of the business.
We tried what everyone tries — more CSRs, off-the-shelf tools, offshore labor. None of it fixed the real problem: service work that no one could see, standardize, or scale. So we built the system we wished we'd had.
“We didn't set out to make software. We set out to fix the agencies we were running and scaling — and the software is what it took.”
Founded by industry operators, we managed real books of business and $200M+ in premium — living every service, renewal, and endorsement firsthand.
Service was the biggest cost and the hardest thing to measure. Hiring more people just moved the ceiling; it never removed it.
Licensed US agents plus AI-native tooling — the task as the unit of work — so agencies can grow the book without growing headcount.
The team that ran the agencies built the product. These numbers come from doing the work — servicing real books of business, in every state, for four years — not describing it.
We built COVU on the back of a real operating business. The scale we ran is the reason the stack works.
They're not posters on a wall — they're how we make decisions, hire, and show up for the agencies who trust us with their service.
Our words matter and we are reliable. We make impeccable agreements and stick to them.
We own outcomes and don't need hand-holding to see them through.
We aim high to exceed expectations and consistently deliver memorable, delightful experiences.
We act with urgency, prioritizing the immediate actions that make the biggest impact.
The team that ran the agencies built the product. We've sat in the seats our partners sit in — and we're still building.

COVU's growth, funding, and approach have been covered across insurance and technology media.
We're hiring operators, engineers, and insurance people who want to reshape how P&C agencies run.
